Access to emergency (999 and 112) services will not be included as part of the solution until you have registered a mainland UK address to your number. This address can be updated at any time via the Orbtalk Portal. This will give the Emergency services a confirmed address and location, enabling them to locate the caller should there be a disconnection.
If you have not confirmed a UK address for your geographic number the emergency operator will ask for specific information to correctly transfer your call. You will be asked to state the nature of your emergency, your location and phone number.
In the event of a power outage at the site that the VoIP equipment is installed or a data line failure (for example ADSL, Cable, Broadband, Leased Line outage), no outbound or inbound calls will be possible, including 999 or 112.
Emergency services calls will not be available from outside of the UK and you will not be able to make emeregency services calls from your international location.
