The Job

Within your role you will be responsible for responding to customer service tickets, porting (transferring) telephone numbers from other providers to Orbtalk, conducting administrative duties in the office, processing account cancellations and writing marketing material (e.g. e-shots).

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer services tickets in a timely and professional manner, including minor complaints.
  • Answering customer services telephone calls.
  • Porting telephone numbers from other providers to Orbtalk.
  • Processing account cancellations, including scheduling them in the calendar and cancelling the account itself 30 days later.
  • Administrative duties e.g. taking items to the post office, providing staff with their holiday forms on request and assisting the Accounts Team and Directors as appropriate.
  • Writing e-shots and tweets as part of the company’s marketing programme.

Experience Required

  • A previous background or training in customer services or business administration is preferred but not essential.
  • An interest in customer services, IT or business administration is essential.
  • Good customer etiquette and composure under pressure.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Your existing knowledge and experience of selling telecommunications solutions will enable you to maximise your revenue generation during sales calls and meetings with target clients
  • Winning new business customers
  • Dealing with leads provided by our Telemarketing function to point of sale
  • During your week, you will identify and canvass on target business premises with a view to gaining a name or contact and a potential meeting to discuss telecom requirements
  • Interface with our telemarketing sales team regularly, swapping leads, ideas and working as a team

Experience Required

  • A proven Business to Business track-record is essential
  • A strong background in selling telecom services and solutions is essential, as well as an understanding of Cloud Technology / Hosted Systems
  • Experience of negotiating contracts and closing clients is imperative
  • A people person, you will possess the ability to instantaneously build rapport and develop and maintain relationships both with clients and internally with the Orbtalk Team
